Privacy Policy

Kachu Phul is an online multiplayer card game available at kachuphul.com and as an Android app (“the app”). This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@kachuphul.com.

Information we collect

If you sign in with Google, we receive a Google ID token and keep:

• your Google account ID (a number that identifies your account — not your email address or password);
• your profile photo — a copy of your Google profile picture, or a photo you choose to upload instead;
• the game name you choose;
• your friends list and friend requests you send or receive;
• the list of players you have blocked;
• a login session token, and when your account was created and last seen.

We do not store your email address, your Google name, or your password. Profile photos are stored on our server and shown to other players; uploaded photos are cropped and resized on your device before upload.

If you play as a guest, we keep only the display name you type, in memory, for as long as you are in a game room. Nothing is saved to our database.

While you play, game rooms, moves and room chat (the last 50 messages of a room) are held in server memory only and are discarded when the room closes. They are not saved to our database, except as part of a report.

Reports. When you report a player, we save the report: your game name, the reported player’s name and photo, the reason and any details you write, the room code, and the last 30 room chat messages. The report is saved in our database and emailed to our support inbox (hosted by Google Gmail) so we can review it.

Technical data. Like any website, our server records IP addresses and request details in logs for security and troubleshooting. Logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.

On your device, the website and app store your login session and your current game room in local storage so you stay signed in and can rejoin a game after a disconnect. Signing out removes them.

How we use it

• to sign you in and keep your game name and friends across devices;
• to show your game name, picture and online status to your friends and to other players in your game room;
• to run games, room chat, invites and reconnection;
• to protect the service from abuse (for example, rate limiting sign-in attempts), and to review reports and enforce our Terms of use.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for our own advertising profiles.

Advertising (Android app only)

The app shows ads through Google AdMob. The website shows no ads. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and use information such as your device’s advertising ID, IP address, and app usage and interaction with ads. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent through Google’s consent form before using this for personalised ads, and you can change your choice at any time from Ad privacy settings on the app’s main menu. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.

Who we share it with

• Google — for Google Sign-In, for our support email (Gmail) and, in the app, AdMob advertising, under Google’s own privacy policy.
• Other players — your game name, picture and online/in-game status, as described above.
• Authorities — only if required by law.

Our servers are hosted on a virtual private server that we operate. Data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections.

How long we keep it

Account information is kept until you delete your account. Server logs are kept for 14 days. Room data and chat are kept only while the room is open. Reports are kept for up to 12 months after we have reviewed them, so we can act on repeated abuse; they are kept even if the reporting or reported account is deleted.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time:

• in the app or website: tap your game name on the main menu, then Delete account; or
• without the app: go to kachuphul.com/delete-account and sign in with Google.

Deletion immediately and permanently removes your account, game name, profile photo, friends list and friend requests, and removes you from other players’ friends and block lists. Any copy remaining in server backups is deleted within 30 days. You can also email support@kachuphul.com to ask for deletion or a copy of your data.

Age

Kachu Phul has no age-restricted content — it is a card game anyone can enjoy. Accounts, online features and in-app advertising are intended for players aged 13 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell players in the app.
